Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a Banking Collector for a temporary 3-month assignment. This role is essential in managing delinquent accounts and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations. The position is based onsite in Scripps Ranch, California, and offers a dynamic work environment within a reputable financial institution.

Responsibilities

  • Collect on loans that are 11 to 60 days delinquent, and manage branch 21 negative shares and negative shares over $500 from day 29 to charge off.
  • Perform activities related to collecting amounts due on delinquent loans and negative shares, ensuring compliance with department work standards, policies, procedures, and federal and state laws including RFDCPA, FDCPA, TCPA, FCRA, and SCRA.
  • Handle a high volume of daily calls, both inbound and outbound.
  • Resolve delinquency status by analyzing member situations, negotiating, and securing acceptable repayment arrangements within guidelines.
  • Educate members on available options, offering suggestions on meeting financial obligations and determining a plan for full resolution.
  • Follow up and monitor delinquent loans/shares to ensure promised arrangements are maintained.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year as a collector, with working knowledge of state and federal laws, policies, and regulations related to credit and collection.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills to evaluate members' financial situations and negotiate full payment or create repayment terms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Temenos Collections System, Symitar, and Application Extender. Familiarity with external systems such as FDI, FocusNet, LexisNexis, Experian, and Internet.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Benefits

This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $25 to $28, dependent on experience and qualifications.
